Designing the Levels
Hey everyone!
This update is shorter than the last one but in no way less critical. Time constraints are a hell of a thing, I’m focussing on a short puzzle game with hopefully high amounts of polish. Once complete, I’ll try to expand the game length.
For now, we have 3 levels after the intro that explains the game mechanics. It seems like I’ll need at least 12 art assets to pull this off, with a few more during the polishing phase. That’s doable! I’m keeping animations to a minimum, truthfully the only necessary one is for the player movement.
Tomorrow I’ll be spending time mapping out the levels with blocks and refining some mechanics for the first two levels. That should give me some valuable feedback. As a side note I’ll be working on the art assets - fun all around.
